Letter from Selma Montford Hon, Sec The Brighton Society
We need assurances over the Pavilion Gardens consultation
Like David Lepper (Letters, October 14), I had no idea there had been a “mass consultation” on the future of the Royal Pavilion Estate, though it is claimed that only 700 people responded.
Can we have some information of how this consultation was carried out and by whom?
Was it online? Was there a form to fill in? If so, can we see a copy? Were there questions to answer? Who conducted this consultation exercise? And when?
As litter and drug-users are a problem, particularly at night, perhaps the Pavilion Gardens need to be gated in the way that Brighthelm and Pelham Square are gated
Will the body which conducted the consultation exercise make itself known in the pages of The Argus?
