ROYAL PAVILION GARDENS TOURS WITH HEAD GARDENER, ROBERT HILL - SNOOK

Learn more about the history, restoration and maintenance of the Royal Pavilion Gardens with head gardener, Robert Hill -Snook. Learn how your support through our recent Gardens Appeal has helped bring new life to the gardens this summer.

"I have seen so many bizarre, unexpected, wacky and off the wall sights in the gardens over the years.

As Brighton and Hove is such an open-minded place, it attracts such wonderful characters and I have seen many walking through the Pavilion Gardens."

Robert is the proud manager and director of the gardens, but much of the weeding, pruning, dead heading and on-going maintenance of the beds is carried out by a dedicated team of volunteers. On a Friday morning these individuals can be found deeply submerged in the undergrowth almost camouflaged in their dark green overalls. They are a willing, hard working and devoted bunch, many of whom have been helping to tend the Pavilion Gardens for many years.
